Easier Way to Kill Gothik the Harvester (Naxxramas Boss)

Gothik the Harvester is the second boss of the Military Quarter in Naxxramas. This boss encounter is pretty easy anyway but this trick makes the fight even easier.

Gothik the Harvester has two phases. In phase two he uses Shadowbolt – Gothik will chain cast 1 second Shadowbolts for 4500 to 5500 (2880 to 3520 in 10 man) Shadow damage on his primary aggro target.

Your group can Mana drain him completely during the 1st phase so he can’t use the Shadowbolt spell in 2nd phase which makes the fight very easy.

In order to do this trick, organize your Warlocks, Hunters and Priests to stay on the live side and mana burn the boss in phase1 (Gothik the harvester is immune to all damage in phase1, but he is not immune to mana drain). Mana drains now take a percentage of the mana instead of a flat amount so your group can easily mana drain him completely (easier in 25 man as you have more players who can cast mana drain).

When he can’t cast Shaodowbolt, he uses his melee abilities which doesn’t do much damage. As I said earlier, this boss fight is considered to be one of the easiest in Naxxramas but this trick makes it even easier and fun.
