How to Make 1000 gold in Two Hours from Fishing

In the Borean Tundra lake fish for the ‘Mussleback Sculpin’ and then use them to cook Grilled Sculpin. A stack of 20 Grilled Sculpin sells for about 100g on my server. If you use a fishing bot to fish then it’s easy gold.

Where to Fish for Mussleback Sculpin

The Mussleback Sculpin can be found in the lake in Borean Tundra

You get a nice buff from the Grilled Sculpin (Restores 15000 health and 12960 mana over 30 sec. If you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become well fed and gain 60 Attack Power and 40 Stamina for 1.00 hour) which is very useful for any dps class whose dps depends on attack power. This is why Grilled Sculpin sells good on on the Auction house.

Also if you use a fishing bot to do your fishing then this is super easy money as you can setup everything and go out while it makes gold for you.

I am interested to know of other good fishing areas in world of warcraft. Please leave your suggestions in the comment area below. Also don’t forget to check the comments to pick up some good suggestions left by other players.

I use Cyber Fish… it works pretty good. You can download a copy from the Game Helper Softwares page.

  3. if i use that fishing bot you’re talking about can blizz find out i’m using it?

@Manive, All I can tell you is that I use it and my friends use it :) I cannot speak for anyone else. My purpose is not to convince anyone or to tell anyone to use fishing bot… I am just providing the resources for people who have requested me.

  5. I know you’re not trying to convince people i just want to know if there is risks using bots since i have no experiance working with bots :P

LOL… in that case I should tell you that there is pretty much no risk in using the fishing bot as it only automatically does some mouse clicks and key presses for you. But if you use some bot that tries to update the memory of the game variable in the RAM or soemthing then I don’t know about that :)

  7. Ummm what about the major risk of getting your account banned?? lol

  8. Usage of any bot is not good as it may give advantage to the player using it over others who are not using it. I highly recommend not to use any bot

  9. Well id have to say after many hours of f**king around with this program.
For what it does makes this lil program gold, how its made however… i think a first year computer programmer could have done a better job of butting this program together.
For one, it does have a off switch! You basicly have to go into your task manager and end the process. Which might some easy. but at the same time your trying to do that, the mouse wont stop moving.. which sometimes makes it EXTREMELY frustrating to shut it down.

As well the controlls are very touchy, one set of settings does not work, every single time you move, even on the same body of water, you have to set it up again… which again can be very anoying as its hard to turn off.

All and all its a very good idea…. poorly done… like no off button???? WTH was the programmer thinking???

  10. Like you said this bot is gold for what it does but I do agree that the programmer could have done a much better job. I don’t know if it will come in handy or not but you can use the ’space’ key to pause the program.

I am experimenting with another fishing bot at the moment… if it goes good maybe I will put that up here too :)

  11. Heh good to know good to know, i will try the space key next time i need to stop it… that would make life alot easier haha

  12. Hi.. I am the author of this program. I am not a programmer as you can tell, but I am learning as I go. Just a few keyboard shortcuts for you all:

Shift+ESC = Terminates CyberFish (even while fishing)

    Pause = Pauses CyberFish

Shift+Pause = Breaks CyberFish while fishing and returns you to the gui.

  13. Nice prgram, I espically like the Autoit.NOE worm built into it.

Before using this program scan it with AVG, youll be glad you did.

  14. That’s interesting… I never put anything up on this site without scanning the files. I scanned the Cyber fish zip file with both Norton and McAfee antivirus and didn’t find anything. Both the Antivirus programs are up to date with the latest virus definitions. I have a feeling AVG is flagging it cause the Cyber fish bot is not written nicely and is trying to access some system port.

Anyway, its always a good idea to scan any program you download from online.

  15. Yeah. I know that Autoit usually gets flagged. Their developers usually have to work with the antivirus folks to have that false positive taken care of. Tomato Tomato I guess. But yes, always scan files! That is why I made this for me, cuz I got hijacked a long time ago. if anyone is interested in having the source code, I can be contacted.

  16. I am very interested in having a look at the source code Cyber. So if you don’t mind please send a copy to admin@license-to-kill.org

The article could use a little clarification. Musselback Sculpin can be caught from any inland water in Borean Tundra. Fishing from any ol’ spot on the river, it’ll make up 20-25% of your catch. However, the easiest place to find Musselback Sculpin Schools is in the lake shown above (I believe it’s called Lake Kum’uya, east-northeast of Warsong Hold.) When fishing from a School, about 90% of what you catch will be the fish for whom the School was named (in this case, Sculpin.)

What makes Lake Kum’uya special is that there are so many schools in this lake, and they respawn so quickly, that you can pretty much fish exclusively from schools. By doing it this way, 90% of your catch will be relatively-rare Sculpin; if you didn’t fish from a school, most of your catch would be Snapper, which are pretty common, and don’t sell unless you cook them into Snapper Extreme, which give a surprisingly low margin because they require Northern Spices.

I’m not sure if a bot can locate and fish from schools; I don’t support botting, so I don’t know whether a machine can make that distinction and point you toward a School instead of open water. I’m pretty certain, however, that by casting and reeling in without human interaction, these bots violate the ToS, so if you don’t want to get banned, you might want to put some music on, find a comfy chair, and catch your own fish.

Even if you only get 40g per stack like my server offers, that’s still not a bad price for hanging out, clicking a bobber, and leveling your skills. Sculpin are also used in the greatest recipe Northrend has to offer, the Fish Feast, so be sure to save a few for yourself.

  18. @GoneFishin, Nice! Thanks for expanding on the post… the information will be very useful to others.

  19. Admin… sorry it’s late, but e-mailed you the code to check out.

  20. Thanks Cyber, I will have a look at the code.

  21. So? Did you check and result is?

I am asking because my virus program is giving alarm for that program.
