How to Solo Zul’Gurub’s Tiger Boss (Thekal) for the Tiger Mount
Have you always wanted to get the Swift Zulian Tiger mount that drops from the Tiger boss Thekal in Zul’Gurub? Now that you are 80 you can solo him to get this mount without having to worry about loosing the roll.
High Priest Thekal was the High Priest of the Primal God Shirvallah, the god tiger. Thekal comes with 2 named humanoid adds (Zealot Lor’khan and Zealot Zath) and 2 tigers. The 2 humanoid adds are a shaman and a rogue. Thekal initiates the fight in priest form. If any of the adds or Thekal dies, the remaining ones will resurrect them. This means all 3 must die simultaneously (within a 10 second window).

After dying once, Thekal respawns as a Tiger. In this form he can charge, Flurry, enrage, and Force Punch. He spawns 2 tigers periodically throughout the fight.

If you are a clothie then I suggest using the Evade bug to solo him

Can a mage solo him with the evade bug? in the video it looks like it needs to be tanked by the warlocks pet
Using evade bug soloed him as a enhancement shaman with evade although i found the evade bug hard to pull of consistently as a tauren on a kodo still doable with a bit of practice however.
Note that the drop rate for the tiger is only about 0.70%

hi all, i tried soloing him today with a lvl80 rogue – well geared comabt spec – i teek care in downing all 3 simultanuesly ( several times) but the boss / adds kept ressrurecting

Ok this might sound like a dumb question but how do you get in to solo it. I can’t enter without a group
You get in by grouping with one of your alts with anybody, log off, have taht anybody invite you in the group, make you raid leader (dont forget to turn it into a raid
) and then thank the anybody, you are a raid with yourself and your offline alt, and you get in
you don’t need an alt. just invite somebody — maybe go kill some packs — then you can stay even if everyone has left.
A solution to the removal of the mounts has been offered and some great ideas have been brought up at the official achievement warcraft forums. Hopefully one of them will be done.
