Make 400g Per Hour from Skinning (WoW)
As a skinner I am always on the lookout for the best farming place to make some extra gold in world of warcraft. There is a really nice farming place in Howling Fjord where you can farm on the mobs and make some decent gold. If your toon doesn’t have skinning then you can just bring a skinner friend or dual box with a toon that has skinning.
Howling Fjord Map
The Reef Cows in Howling Fjord (shown on the map above) have about 9k health and spawns pretty quick. There are heaps of them. They are level 70 and they go down pretty quick.

If you farm the Reef cows for an hour you will end up with about over 100g worth of trash, greens and cooking meat. Remember to sell the meat on the Auction house. Now the sweet part… from Skinning you will get around 8 arctic furs which will sell for about 250g (on some servers it will sell for even higher) and another 80g from Borean leather and Borean leather scrapes. Altogether, I think this a very good farming spot for skinners.

If you go to Sholazar Basin where the softknuckle gorrilas are there is usually a group of 10-15 of them within close range, it’s simple to take them out and skin them, a bonus is that they dont drop scraps, only pure leather and artic fur if you get lucky. Hope this helps some people out

Arctic furs on my server are 40g and haven’t been over 100g since December time.

Uhm bull.
i farmed this like 30mins onlky leather borean scrps and borean leather dropped. no artic fur. if u need borean leather 100% go sholozar basin 68.00 78.53 There is some gorillas over there u can pull 15 and own
spawnrate is perfect, but amount of scraps is really high, and no worthy loot drops from them, i’d definitely say gorillas @ sholazar basin is way better!
I farmed on this spot in Fjord today, takes a while till you get a right estimation of the respawn (they’re linear, not in circle), but I got 2 furs till my guildmates called me off (cca 40 mins of farming) and loads of trash, 2 greens (one of them 80g-worth according to auctioneer) and 4-5 stacks (maybe more, I had to mail the items twice to alt due to the lack of bag space) of borean leather. Furs are up to 65g at Sporeggar-EU.
There’s also a nice spot at the Argent Vanguard base in Icecrown, before you finish the phasing quest, there are nerubians, who have a nice Nerubian Chitin drop rate, so try these if chitin is expensive on your server. Hope this helps.
and in borean Tunbra
Borean Tundra has the Rhinos right by the amber ledge flight point (Horde) Down that hill is the Rhinos. They are mostly non agro except for the bulls and there is a named that wanders around there but is easy to solo for mail or better classes. But the Rhinos go down real fast and they drop Rhino Meat and Skins. Arctic Drop rate isn’t as good as it used to be so I assume they tweaked it but the Rhino Meat sells for alot of gold on my server.
