Naxxramas Raid (Level 80) Minimum Gear/Stat Requirement
This is the minimum gear requirement guideline for Naxxramas Raid instance. Try to spec and gear your class properly to achieve these targets if you plan on clearing Naxxramas. This is just a recommended minimum requirements guideline for both Normal (10 mans) and Heroic ( 25 mans) difficulty but aim for higher.
Minimum Requirement for Tanks
- Defense Rating: 540 (Defense Cap)
- Health: 25k
- Armor: 21k+
Minimum Requirement for DPS class
- All dps class should have at least more than 1.5k dps… 1.8k would be ideal.
- Classes whose dps depends on Attack Power should have at least 2.5k Attack Power.
- Classes whose dps depends on Spell Power should have at least 1350 Spell Power.
- Dps should have at least 75% towards the hit cap.
Note: It is possible to down the bosses with a few dps in the raid with less than 1.5k dps but then the fight becomes intense as the healers will run out of mana healing for longer time also some bosses will enrage and wipe the raid if your group can’t down him quick enough.
Minimum Requirement for Healers
- Healers should have at least 1500 Bonus Heal
- 160 MP5 (mana regeneration while in combat)
Note: A resto Druid or a resto Shamman would be really good to have in the raid group as a lot of the bosses do Poison damage in Naxxramas. For example Maexxana in Arachnid Quarter casts ‘Necrotic Poison’ (Reduces healing taken by 90% for 30 seconds) to targets in melee range in front of Maexxna, generally the tank. If the tank is not cleansed from this poison immediately then that’s a guaranteed wipe. Abolish Poison (Druid spell) is the most effective way to remove it.

Hey guys, I know its been said, but just to confirm, it is very easy to get 25k hp ub pre raid. As a miner / JCer, I was able to easily farm mats for the crafted boots and helm, (Tempered Titansteel) and make both the earthguard chain and ring. Just those 4 things alone, plus heroic dungeon gear, puts me at 28k hp ub, with a good 640 def rating. (Well above cap, just stack for some extra block.) Going into naxx 10m for the first time I had: 28.4k hp, 651 def rating, 19% dodge, 17% parry, and 16% block and 24656 armor.
Even if you dont want to put for time or money toward crafted epics, its easy to achieve a good set of stats for naxx 10. Its a good idea to do heroics, not only for the gear, but for tanking experience. I agree with the post that if someone doesnt want to put efforts into heroics they should not be doing naxx either.

I am a level 80 holy/dis priest. I have about 1350 spell power without inner fire or spirit buff. with them i have a little over 1600. Is that good enough to start 10 man naxx. i also have arround 250 regen while casting. If not can anyone give me what they believe to be the minimum i should try to get.
Going back to the talk of pre-heroic tank minimums. 25K is the ABSOLUTE minimum to keep pressure off the healers. It is also very easily obtained. We have to bear in mind that it is far cheaper and easier to get a tank geared for 10 man content than it is a caster. My Death Knight is currently sitting at 27K+ Health, 26K+ Armor and I have 34% Avoidance. Look into enchants and LWs Item Enhancement. Stack your gems. Farm the Mats for some of the BOE crafted items if you have to. Tanks are the easiest to get prepared followed by the Healers, followed by the melee dps, trailing behind are the casters. For anyone thinking about tanking remember that the more stress you take off of your healer the more flexibility your grp will have.

what is the min hit/DPS for a mage to do 25 Naxx?
I’m a lock with the following stats:
Sp : 1405 with fel armor
hp : slightly over the 15k
mana : around the 13.5k
mp5 : 180 while casting
crit chance : 11%
Am i good enough for naxx 10 man of should i aim for some more gear?
Some more gear always helps but you can definitely start raiding Naxx

It’s interesting to read this as I’m an Arcane mage with the following stats (unbuffed):

+1767 Spell
+21.09% Crit
215 Hit
236 Haste
Yet I struggle to get into any Naxx 10 man raid as I’m seen as under geared!

no offense towards you arc, your hit rating seems kinda low, im also going to guess you specced into the 3% hit rating for arcane spells, you need 367 hit rating to get to 14% hit rating with the bonus 3% to hit from the talant, if i was to spec my mage to arcane who is ready for naxx she would have 1987 spell power, 27% crit and 359 hit rating, she has mostly crafted items and the pvp helm and boots from wintergrasp that gives you hit and spell power, which are generally better then any crafted item or heroic items for those 2 general spots, as a mage your main goal is to get your hit rating upto being close to capped before working on spell power and crit as these 2 stats will eventually come when you get heroic items and badge gear
@ everyone who thinks 25k hp unbuffed as a tank is impossible, it’s not, my prot warrior has 26.4k health unbuffed in no heroic or badge gear, she is defense capped at 455, has 19% dodge, 17% parry and 18% block, aswell as 23k armor, 22k health is the minimum for heroics not raids.

I know this well exceeds the OPs requirements but because the gear was so easy to get it makes me doubt that i’ll hold up in naxx?

@Alorivarra, I have a priest and started raiding Naxx 10 man with stats similar to yours. Don’t forget that these days a lot of the players are well geared so you will have some overgeared players in your group to help you out.
i was a dps DK, sitting at around 2.5k dps, up to 3.7k with aoe’s goin on trash, and had trouble getting into nax groups cause im not enough dps….
sooo im switching to tanking. right now i have 23k hp unbuffed, 27k armor, 508 defence rating, 17.38% dodge, and Parry: 14.38%. this is still in some dps gear like trinkets, helm, and more. so i think getting those stats will be np. if anyone is looking for an ot or a mt (once i get better geared) ill gladly switch servers. my buddy a priest healer would come along with me. lol package deal

i am a unholy DPS DK 0/10/61 build full on ghoul.. and the last member in my guild to get into raiding.. finished the northrend heroics no probs and have been in the top two dps in northrend heroic dungeons but want to start raiding..

Can’t link anything on this computer, but I have an 80 mage, Dethstrike, if you can check him in the armory (greymane server). Need advice on my current gear and spec. I have done some raiding, VoA, 25 Naxx (no 10 man) and the one in Dragonblight. Don’t have an idea what my dps is or anything else..yes I am a noob raider..still trying to learn. It’s 540 DEFENSE, and to have to ask about it, I think you need to do some more reading about how tanking works. Sorry.
I know its defense, but up there says “defense rating: 540 (defense cap)”, some ppl can get confused it should say just defense:540
I know that having so many people post their stats and ask for the green light to enter Naxx is probably growing tiresome, but this is my first time getting into raids (I only hit 80 a few weeks ago) and my stats seem to be a bit borderline, so I’m wondering if I should gear up a bit before I enter Naxxramas 10. Note that I’m a discipline-specced Priest.
At the moment, I have around 1600 Spell Power (with Inner Fire maintained at all times), 164 mana per 5 (with Divine Spirit maintained at all times), and a mana pool of 16300+. These are all stats without any raid buffs – the only buffs applied are two of my own. With my buffs up, I pass the minimum requirements. Is this okay, or do my stats need to pass these requirements without my own buffs up? I’ve been invited by my new guild to a Naxx run on Friday, but I’m hesitant to agree to if I’m not likely to perform well.

@Orlin, your stats are fine for Naxxramas 10 man. Once you start raiding you will quickly gear up more.

Most of these stats are mainly from BoE epics, thats why I’m worried if I still need to grind heroics for more stuff or I can just start naxx10.

I’m about half epic from Heroics and Emblems of heroism gear but the rest are lvl 78/80 blues with Gems. Think thats geared enough for naxx 10 because no-one on my server has let me in a group yet
