World of Warcraft Macro

WHAT IS A MACRO?
Macros are lines of script that execute in-game commands. They allow you to combine multiple actions into one user-customized button that you can use just like a spell or ability.
Macros have their own submenu in the Options window. Hit Escape or click the computer icon on the far right of your bottom main menu bar, and then click on the Macros button. The Create Macros window should appear. You can also type “/macro” or simply “/m” to bring up this window.
CREATING YOUR FIRST MACRO
To create a macro, first open the macro window then click the new macro. You’ll have to name it and choose an icon for it. For starters, let’s name your new macro: ‘Test’. Choose any icon you wish, and then click OK. Now, in the bottom of the macro window you should have space to type in the code for your new macro. You are limited to 255 characters. Inside the large box at the bottom type “/say Hello all”. Now hit the escape key once. Hitting the escape key brings you out of the code box, and your macro is automatically saved. Now, on the top of the macro window where you see the icon you chose, drag that icon to somewhere on your bar. Click the icon which is now on your bar. You should notice that your character said “Hello all” as if you had typed it yourself in the chat window.
Send your favourite macros to “Aussieboy” to be listed on this page. Your name will be put on the contributor’s section.
